Personal Life
Raised in DuBois and now residing in Pittsburgh, I've spent all 26 years of my life living in Pennsylvania. When I was growing up, most of my free time was spent watching and playing sports with my friends. I am a die-hard fan of the Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers, and I enjoy playing hockey and golf. One of my favorite experiences has been my almost 20 years of martial arts training, in which I earned my second-degree black belt at age 18. Today, you can catch me playing board games, watching Survivor every Wednesday, enjoying a dance class on the weekend, and waiting for my long-overdue Hogwarts letter.
Professional Life
My passion for sports gained a professional component when I attended Robert Morris University to study sport management. In my four years at RMU, I worked in Division I collegiate athletics, served as the president of the Sport Management Association, and graduated summa cum laude with two majors and a minor. After graduating, I began my career in the sport industry as the Assistant Athletic Director for a Pittsburgh school district, where I have worked for almost three years.
Author Life
My first experience with published writing came when I wrote sports-related articles for FanSided. I enjoyed it, but I've always loved fictional stories, whether it be TV shows, movies, or my all-time favorite books, the Harry Potter series. Nothing beats getting lost in a story, and what better way to immerse myself in a story than to write my own?
In December 2022, I shifted my focus to creative writing and began my journey to becoming a published author. With that, The Rodney Brothers and the 10 Tales of Roana was born, and I'm now the proud creator of a young adult fantasy novel full of secrets, surprises, and elemental magic. And the best part? I'm only getting started.
What's Next in Life
Don't we all sometimes wish we knew what the future had in store? Well, I can tell you one thing for sure: I can't wait to keep telling stories. With my first book published and the second one in the series in progress, I'm loving every moment of bringing my vision to life. I'll continue to navigate the maze that is writing, editing, networking, and promoting, and we'll see where the journey takes me.
